Link Holiday的意思是「假日」，holiday是holy+day，神聖的日子，像Christmas、New year各種節慶的放假就是 holiday。美國人的 the holidays/the holiday season，指的是Christmas到New Year's Day的這段假期。Vacation這個字，長得很像vacancy（空位），指停止工作或讀書等較長的空檔，像summer vacation。
